Taameer Jordan Holdings signs engineering supervision agreement for Ahl Al Azm Residential City

This agreement stipulates that the latter be responsible for supervising construction activities pertaining to the successful completion of the Ahl Al Azim residential city.

Ahl Al Azim Project is located within close proximities of the Queen Alia International Airport and within the Al Jiza district. Construction for the project' is to begin as of February 2008.

The agreement was signed by Chairman and CEO of Taameer Jordan Holdings, Eng. Khalid Dahleh and General Manager of the Associated Consulting Engineers Mr.Jawdat Yaghmour, at the Taameer Jordan Holdings' headquarters of the signing ceremony was attended by the Planning and Construction Manager at Taameer Jordan Holdings, Mr. Munthir Ghosheh along with management and team members from both firms.

"We are committed to completing all phases of the Ahl al Azim project with highest standards. Our decision to work closely with the Associated Consulting Engineers Corporation stems directly from our confidence in the capacities of its team. The company's impressive portfolio indicates previous work on projects similar to this one", explained Mr. Dahleh.

The first phase of the project (3 million sqm out of the total project area of 7.5 million sqm) will be developed by the year 2012. The size of investment for this project is valued at $900m and is to be implimented in collaboration with the Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDC). Targeting med to low income segments, this project is to include around 16000 housing units offered with highly encouraging financing options.

Ahl Al Azim infrastructure incorporates electricity, communication and water networks alongside a full network of main roads and side streets. The project will also include schools, medical centers, parks entertainment centers, playing fields and car parks. -Continued-

The project was originally named the Al-Jiza housing project. The name change however came into effect as a reflection of the Jordanian people's determination to seek further development for their surrounding communities. The name Ahl Al Azim translated, as "The Determined People" is to serve as a true reflection of this authentic Jordanian trait.
